HGV Class 1 driver - £16.00 per hour - Immediate Start

We've partnered with this client since 2017, with many of our drivers successfully moving into frequent work. This is your chance to get temporary work with the potential to become ongoing, representing a large-scale customer delivering across the UK.

  • Frequent adhoc work: temporary work available Monday to Friday, with regular start times between 04:00 AM and 08:00 AM.

Your role as an HGV Class 1 driver

  • 2-3 drops daily: deliver palletised general haulage to local and regional destinations.
  • Efficient & safe deliveries: ensure timely, accurate deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.
  • No handball: pallets all offloaded for you on site.
  • Communication: keep in regular contact with the depot and clients to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 years' experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
  • Full in-date CPC, tachograph card, and driving licence.
  • Must have held an HGV Class 1 licence for at least 2 years.
  • Good attention to detail: ensuring safe loading and unloading of goods.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and confidence on the road.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
  • Willing to complete an online induction prior to starting work.

Pay & benefits

  • £16.00 per hour (Monday to Friday) + holiday entitlement.
