Career Teachers are looking to recruit experienced and passionate Humanities Teachers to work within a cluster of Secondary Schools in and around the Birmingham area.
We are extremely busy with requests from our schools with the flexibility of working around your commitments with part-time and full-time hours to suit, as well as short-term and long-term assignments.
As a supply teacher you will:
- Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons to pupils aged 11 to 16 (key stage 3 and 4)
- Be adaptable to cover pre-planned general cover lessons where required
- Encourage pupils to interact within the class and engage in activities throughout the lesson.
- Provide detailed feedback on pupil's achievement and progress
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the schools policies and procedures
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Humanities or a related field
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience in teaching Humanities at key stage 3 and 4
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Passionate and dedicated to teaching and learning.
- Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
- Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
- Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
