School Caretaker/Site Assistantto work within a school in North Birmingham, required immediately.As a caretaker/site assistant you will be responsible for:
- Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments
- Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied
- General maintenance, DIY - fixing and put furniture together, painting
- Assisting with any school deliveries
- Overlooking the schools health and safety. Carrying out fire drills/test.
- Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the schools
- Liaising with contractors and escorting them around site
- Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents' evenings
- Gardening and outdoor site maintenance - lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking
- General cleaning
- Basic Plumbing
- Using power tools
Requirements:
- 2 year of experience working within a school environment
- experience doing basic plumbing and using power tools
- holds an ENHANCED DBS disclosure
