Patient transport driver required to work in and around Birmingham.
Main duties of the job
The Patient Driver is responsible for providing a safe transportation service for patients. You will be required to collect patients from their home and transport them to the required appointments and between healthcare facilities.
- Drive company vehicles to transport patients
- Maintain accurate records
- Communicate with dispatchers, patients, and handover staff on arrival to appointments/healthcare facilities
- Assist patients in and out of the vehicles
- Report any vehicle issues promptly

General transport driver required to work in and around Birmingham.
Main duties of the job
The General Driver is responsible for providing the safe transportation of laundry, stock and medical documents to required locations.
Transporting clean/dirty laundry, stock to various hospitals/GP's.
Collection or delivery of equipment/notes/confidential letters.
Collection of Clinical waste around the West Midlands area.
Collection of specimens from various Clinics, GP surgeries & Health Centres.
Delivery of Radioactive gases to various Hospitals around the country.
Essential
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Previous driving experience
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Patient transport driver- D1 Category on your driving licence
- General transport driver - standard licence
- Either hold an Enhanced DBS disclosure issued within the last 12 months or on the update service, Or pass and enhanced DBS check.
Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shift patterns run from 9am - 5pm. Weekends and evenings may be available.
