The post holder will be required to work a Split shift, Monday to Friday attending between the hours of 07:00 – 10:00 and 14:30 – 17:30. Additional flexibility may also be required.

DBS Required

Ensuring that the service user is suitably attired (adults only).

The service user’s dwelling is left safe and secure (adults only).

Supporting the less mobile service user, pushing those service users who are wheelchair bound to/from the vehicle.

When the tail lift is in use, riding on the lift with the service users to support and reassure them.

Checking, with the assistance of the driver, that wheelchair clamps, lap straps etc. are securely in place before moving off.

Ensuring that, so far as can be determined by the post holder, that having returned the service user to their home that they are comfortable (adults only) and are not being left ‘at risk’.

Reporting any changes in a service user’s emotional or physical needs which become apparent during the journey.
