Alexander Daniels is currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join a leading family owned business based in Birmingham on a full time basis. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the end to end monthly payroll and maintaining accurate payroll data and records.

Your duties include:

  • Responsible for processing, reviewing and balancing weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Process Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC as required.
  • Resolving pay-related queries, correcting any errors, and working with internal stakeholders to accurately complete payroll requests.
  • Producing and reconciling payroll journals to ensure correct information is reported back to senior leadership.
  • Reconciling values to specific payrolls to ensure balance sheet is accurate.
  • Downloading reports from HMRC and reconciling to PAYE control accounts.
  • Other ad-hoc duties.

Essential requirements:

  • Excellent data entry and data cleaning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with payroll software.
  • Knowledge of legislation and procedures pertaining to salary deductions.
  • Adherence to all prescribed ethical guidelines, including confidentiality.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, working within a team and the ability to meet deadlines.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, established team and will benefit from a competitive salary up to £30,000 per annum DOE.
