What You'll Be Doing:
- Liaising with temps and internal/external customers, answering their queries with a friendly approach.
- Accurately inputting data in a timely manner to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Calculating Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) and Maternity Pay (SMP) along with all other statutory payments following set criteria.
- Responding to inquiries from external agencies, such as the Inland Revenue and DSS.
- Calculating additional payments and deductions as necessary.
- Administering customer payroll information, including timesheets, new starter files, and payroll reports.
- Handling errors and amendments with precision.
- Complying with statutory and company payroll procedures and deadlines.
- Maintaining confidentiality and urgency in all duties.
- Upholding the company values and acting as an ambassador for the payroll team.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience with UK payroll legislative requirements, including:
- HMRC submissions
- CMEC deductions
- SSP/SMP & SSP deductions
- Court Orders and other attachment of earnings
- The ability to manually process Tax and National Insurance calculations, both for UK and Irish payroll.
- A CIPP or equivalent qualification is essential.
