Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading NHS Hospital pharmacy team based in Birmingham. This exciting opportunity is for a Band 7/8a Clinical Pharmacist who will work across rotational wards in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical wards-based pharmacy, demonstrating expertise in providing pharmaceutical care and services in a hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering clinical pharmacy services to various hospital wards.
- Reviewing and optimizing medication use for patients across the rotational wards.
- Collaborating with medical and nursing teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Providing advice on drug interactions, side effects, and appropriate dosing.
- Conducting medication reviews and ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications.
- Leading and supporting junior pharmacy staff where necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience: Must have hospital-based experience, including working within clinical wards.
- Qualification: Registered Pharmacist with relevant qualifications.
- Experience in Clinical Wards: Previous experience in clinical ward settings is essential.
- Band: This position is offered at Band 7/8a.
- Availability: Available to start in January/February 2025.
Hourly Rate:
£27 - £37 per hour (Depending on experience)
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute break.
