Aspire People are seeking a qualified and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team to work in a ASD school in Bourneville. You will play a key role in providing tailored therapy services, promoting students' independence, and supporting their development across a range of motor, sensory, and functional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of students with ASD, identifying sensory, motor, and functional needs.
* Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans to support students' physical and emotional well-being.
* Provide both one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to each child's specific needs.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to implement therapeutic strategies within the school setting.
* Offer guidance and support to staff on adapting environments and activities to promote inclusion and engagement.
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, reviews, and care plans for students.
Requirements:
* A qualified Occupational Therapist with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
* HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration.
* Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), preferably in an educational setting.
* Strong knowledge and experience in sensory integration, motor skills development, and functional assessments.
* An empathetic, patient, and flexible approach to working with children with additional needs.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* All candidates must have an enhanced DBS on the update service.
