Plasterer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering techniques and experience working with various materials. This role involves applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create a smooth finish. The Plasterer will also be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing materials, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
• Mix plaster according to specifications and ensure consistency for application.
• Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth finish on walls and ceilings.
• Work with various materials including cement, gypsum, and lime-based products.
• Perform repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching holes and cracks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and bricklayers to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
• Inspect finished work for quality assurance and make adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks.
• Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to work at heights, including roofs, safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
