Reed Further Education are seeking a Plasterer Technician to assist in plastering workshops for a further education college in Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone with a plastering qualification. The position involves demonstrating plastering techniques, managing inventory and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained in the workshop environment.

Job Title: Plasterer Technician

Position: Full-time, 37.5 hours, Mon to Fri

Job Type: Temporary Ongoing until initially February

Salary: £15.51 p/h including holiday pay

Location: Bordesley Green, Birmingham

Day-to-day of the role:

Assist in the setup and maintenance of plastering workshops.
Conduct demonstrations of plastering techniques to groups.
Provide assistance to students within the workshop.
Perform inventory checks and manage workshop materials.
Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed and documented.
Engage with and provide support to workshop participants, particularly young individuals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must hold a plastering qualification.
GCSEs in Maths and English.
Previous experience in a similar role or environment is highly desirable.
Experience working with young people is advantageous.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed.
