Maintenance Plumber - Social Housing

Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Hay Mills

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Construction

Salary: £20 - £20 Per hour

Job Duties:
  • Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance in social housing properties
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and faulty fixtures
  • Install new plumbing systems and fixtures as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Plumbing qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2)
  • Gas Safe Register certification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience working in social housing maintenance
Education:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English
  • Relevant plumbing qualifications
Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber in social housing settings
  • Experience with diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practises
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong plumbing skills and technical knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional plumbing certifications or training
  • Experience with heating systems maintenance
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily in social housing properties in the West Midlands area
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for emergency repairs
  • Physical demands including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
  • Use of personal protective equipment when necessary
