Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Administrative and Finance Officer to join a school team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative, financial, and clerical support to the school, senior managers, and governors. Experience in school administration is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

Administration:

  • Provide administrative support to the Head of School and senior staff, including diary management and handling admissions paperwork.
  • Act as Clerk to the School Governors, taking minutes and circulating papers.
  • Manage school information systems and pupil attendance records.
  • Ensure the implementation of security and safeguarding procedures.
  • Champion staff health and wellbeing within the school.

 

Financial Management:

  • Oversee the financial management of school resources and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with financial procedures.

 

Support Functions:

  • Develop and monitor support systems and procedures to enhance school operations.

 

Communication and Liaison:

  • Liaise with staff, pupils, parents/carers, and external agencies as needed.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of administrative and financial management procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong IT proficiency (Microsoft Office and database management).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and personal development.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
