Compliance Consultant

Office Based - B3 2TA

£25,500 + commission

Hours - 07:30am - 4pm / 08:30am - 5pm / 9am - 5:30pm

*Early shift not required during school holidays 

Are you a confident, driven team player? Do you have an eye for detail? TeacherActive are hiring for a Compliance Consultant to join our ambitious and established compliance team.

Experience is not required. We’re looking for people who are confident, great communicators and have a lot of ambition. You’ll need to show resilience and be a team player.

The Compliance Consultant is a key role that helps to drive the business forward and maintain our high standards.

The role of a Compliance Consultant:

  • Managing and being responsible for your own bank of candidates, taking them from the initial point of audit to fully clearing the candidate to work in schools
  • Verify all right to work and identity documents
  • Chasing references over the phone to ensure that we obtain these as quickly as possible
  • Carrying out reference and DBS checks with a high level of accuracy
  • Carrying out annual checks on candidates to ensure that a candidate is suitable to work in schools e.g. barred list checks
  • Dealing with internal and external queries via telephone and email
  • Working towards individual and team targets
  • Keep accurate records on candidates files throughout clearance process.
  • Keep up to date with any changes in policies and procedures

  • Relationship building skills
  • A growth mindset and the ability to self-reflect
  • Resilience to overcome obstacles and challenges
  • Experience of pre-employment checks and vetting candidates to be placed in school, childcare or similar settings (desired).
