Compliance Officer

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 1-2 days per week at home)Salary: £26,000 - £30,000Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week(Monday-Thursday: 8:30 - 17:00, Friday: 8:30 - 16:00)

Your Role

As a Compliance Officer, you will work across multiple teams to ensure records are accurate, funding is maximised, and processes are streamlined. You will provide critical data and insights to senior leadership, ensuring compliance with ESFA funding rules and helping to maintain the integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date with ESFA Apprenticeship funding rules and technical guidance.
  • Support enrolments, completions, and changes in circumstances each month.
  • Assist in preparing data for monthly ILR submissions and resolving funding errors.
  • Work closely with Business Development and delivery teams on compliance matters.
  • Monitor and report on progress reviews and learner data accuracy.
  • Identify compliance risks and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly data submissions to the ESFA.
  • Provide reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Strong attention to detail & ability to work methodically.
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills.
  • Experience in funding compliance, data management, or apprenticeship regulations (desirable).
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
