MERJE is seeking a skilled professional for an exciting GDPR Compliance Project - Discovery Phase opportunity with a leading construction company in the UK. This role offers a unique chance to lead a critical initiative in data protection and compliance.

The Role
The GDPR Compliance Project - Discovery Phase role involves leading a comprehensive assessment of the company's current data management practices. This initial 12-week engagement offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation's data protection strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile an inventory of all applications, ERP systems, and databases processing personal data
- Conduct preliminary risk assessments for GDPR compliance across various systems
- Identify key compliance gaps and areas of concern
- Develop actionable recommendations for improving data management practices
- Present findings and next steps to stakeholders
Required knowledge and experience:
- Extensive knowledge of GDPR requirements and data protection best practices
- Experience in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Familiarity with various IT systems and databases
