Senior Health, Safety, and Security (HSS) Strategy Manager

Are you an experienced Health, Safety, and Security leader looking to take on a new challenge in a large-scale infrastructure environment? We are recruiting for a Senior HSS Strategy Manager to shape and drive the HSS strategy for a major, high-profile project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of Health, Safety, and Security (HSS) strategies, ensuring alignment across the organisation and supply chain.
  • Champion the "Safe at Heart" culture, engaging the workforce and supply chain to embed healthy, safe, and secure behaviours.
  • Oversee the development of operational plans and continuous improvement across all project phases.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, and technical experts to drive improvements and ensure HSS targets are met.
  • Manage a team responsible for implementing safety initiatives across the project.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience leading Health & Safety in a high-risk environment (e.g., construction, nuclear, rail).
  • Chartered Health & Safety professional or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience developing HSS strategies for large-scale projects, with a focus on cultural and behavioural change.
  • Ability to manage risk, balance safety with cost and schedule considerations, and analyse complex data to inform decision-making.
