Senior Legal Compliance OfficerEdgbaston, Birmingham (office based, 5 days a week, Mon-Fri)£35,000 - £45,000 p/a DoEBell Cornwall Recruitment are delighted to be working with a multi-site, national law firm who continue to grow. They are looking for a Senior Legal Compliance Officer to join their office in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham.Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Legal Compliance Officer will include (but are not limited to):

• Establish a standardised approach for delivering and documenting operational services to ensure effective management and governance of Davisons Law compliance across all offices.
• Ensure full compliance to AML regulations at all offices.
• Act as the primary contact for professional indemnity insurers, handling claims, maintaining records, and conducting investigations.
• Oversee safety management in alignment with established policies.
• Provide accurate, regular updates and reports on compliance status to the senior management team, and timely updates on non-compliance issues.
• Assist in managing escalated complaints with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or Legal Ombudsman, serving as Liaison Officer during SRA inspections.
• Advise fee earners on professional conduct matters, including conflicts of interest and ethical considerations.

The ideal candidate:

• Experience of compliance management within a law firm or heavily regulated environment
• Knowledge of SRA processes
• Excellent communication with a proactive nature
• Ability to review processes and run workshops
• Happy to travel into the office 5 days a week
