We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Value Officer, working for a leading contractor on HS2 in Birmingham. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial part in maximizing the social and economic benefits of this transformative infrastructure project.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social value strategy for the HS2 project in Birmingham.
- Identify and measure social value opportunities across all stages of construction.
- Engage with local communities, stakeholders, and businesses to promote social and economic benefits.
- Work collaboratively with the project team to embed social value principles into all aspects of the project.
- Monitor and report on social value outcomes, ensuring the project delivers maximum positive impact.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in social value within the construction industry, ideally with experience on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of social value principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective social value strategies and plans.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
