Technical Services Manager

The Technical Services Manager oversees technical operations, with a primary focus on hosted infrastructure, Azure, Wintel environments, and large-scale server management. This IT role emphasises leadership in team mentorship, shift management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Guide shift leaders to maintain operational standards across all teams.
  • Ensure team-wide familiarity with up-to-date procedures and provide training as needed.
  • Lead operations in hosted infrastructure and cloud environments, focusing on secure data storage and disaster recovery.
  • Address client escalations related to cloud infrastructure and server management.
  • Manage incidents and escalations, focusing on quick resolutions in Azure, Wintel, and x86 environments.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, especially in Azure, Wintel, and server infrastructure, and up skill team members accordingly.
  • Oversee network and server infrastructure monitoring, ensuring early issue detection.
  • Lead cloud and hosted infrastructure operations with a focus on Azure, large-scale servers, and Wintel environments.
  • Ensure incidents are logged, escalated, and resolved effectively.
  • Provide hands-on support for Azure, Wintel, x86, and server infrastructure.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in hosted infrastructure and large-scale server management.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure and Wintel environments, including hands-on experience in setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical teams.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes to manage incidents and changes effectively.
  • Previous experience as a Technical Services Manageror similar role.
