Our South Birmingham based Catholic Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic year 2 Teacher to join their successful team starting after October half term. This role will be a full responsibilty post until July 2025. This "good" Primary school offers a supportive and nurturing environment to all of its satff and pupils.

You will have prior key stage 1 teaching experience and be able to commit to a full time role from Oct 2024 to July 2025. Taking full responsibility for teaching the year 1 class

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 1 pupils
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal development of each child
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting appropriate targets
  • Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school in all aspects of teaching and community life

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching in primary education, preferably within key stage 1
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Commitment to promoting the Catholic ethos and values of the school
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
