Job Title: Primary Teacher (Year 5 Teacher)
Pay Rate: £162 - £251 per day
Location: Central Birmingham
Start Date: May Half Term
Hours: 8.00 - 16.00
Smart Education are working with a Primary School located in the heart of the West Midlands, just to the East of the ring road. This school are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher to join them from the May Half Term for a Year 5 Class Teacher role that will run through to the end of the academic year 2025.
This school are the heart of the local community, located in an area of high deprivation the school offers a transformative experience for their pupils, and was graded as a 'Good’ school in their most recent Ofsted. The successful applicant will be a qualified Primary Teacher with Key Stage 2 teaching experience who is passionate about supporting and working with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. This Year 5 Teacher role will see you taking on this year 5 class for the academic year, working with the returning Primary Teacher for the final half term of the year in 2026.

Job Requirements for this Year 5 Class Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Valid Child DBS (Or be willing to get one)
- Patience, empathy and a commitment to serving the pupils you support to the best of your ability
- Clear understanding and commitment to safeguarding
- Ability to offer differentiated teaching as required
- Strong communication and teamwork to work with class based general TA’s and the SEN TA.
