Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher seeking a rewarding teaching opportunity?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a long-term position in Year 2 for the rest of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role starting from the following academic year at a primary school based in Harborne, Birmingham. This full-time position entails complete teaching responsibilities, providing you with an excellent platform to showcase your skills and expertise.

Role Overview:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to Year 2 students, employing a diverse range of teaching methodologies and resources to cater to various learning styles.
  • Develop and implement a well-rounded curriculum that meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of the students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning, collaboration, and respect among students.
  • Continuously assess student progress, offering constructive feedback, and adapting teaching strategies to ensure ongoing improvement.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to plan and coordinate interdisciplinary projects, school events, and extracurricular activities.
  • Establish effective lines of communication with parents and guardians, delivering regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance your teaching skills and remain up-to-date with the latest educational practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Previous experience teaching Year 2 students, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum and age-appropriate teaching techniques.
  • Excellent classroom management abilities, enabling you to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and fellow educators.
  • A genuine passion for education, a commitment to student success, and a nurturing approach to teaching.
  • The capability to differentiate instruction and provide personalized support to meet the diverse needs of students.

Contract Details:

This long-term position is available immediately and will continue until the end of the current academic year. As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position starting from the following academic year, subject to performance evaluation.
