We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Teachers of Humanities to join our team at the Millpool Campus and help us continue to deliver a relevant and differentiated curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students.

We seek someone with the dedication, vision, and drive to support departmental leadership and provide the teaching team with expertise and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences through a relevant and differentiated curriculum.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils and promote equality of opportunity and inclusion.
  • Provide progress data, assessments, reports, and references for individual pupils and groups.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, enhancing subject knowledge and teaching methods.
  • Contribute to School Development Planning and staff meetings.
  • Promote good attendance and adhere to school policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the learning experience meets quality standards and provides a stimulating environment.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils, encouraging personal excellence.
  • Apply the school Behaviour Policy to facilitate effective learning.
  • Contribute to the review, development, and management of accreditation activities.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified teacher status with experience in teaching Humanities.
  • Knowledge of effective behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Understanding of assessment and profiling to support learning.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong pupil management skills and the ability to manage a range of behaviours within the classroom.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and equal opportunities in employment and school delivery.
