Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an ‘Outstanding’ primary school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers in delivering high-quality education and ensuring the well-being of their pupils.*** Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant*** £80 - £90 per day*** ‘Outstanding’ primary school, Central Birmingham*** Immediate start, July 2025 finish*** 1:1 and small group support in KS1 or KS2This school is a vibrant and inclusive primary school nestled in the heart of Birmingham and are committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Their dedicated team of educators work collaboratively to ensure that each student reaches their full potential.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Classroom Activities: Support the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Individualised Support: Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who may require additional help in specific subjects or areas.
  • Behavioural Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and reinforcing school values.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in the creation and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Monitoring Progress: Keep track of student progress and report back to teachers, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supervision: Supervise students during break times, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.
  • Special Educational Needs (SEN): Work closely with the SENCO to support students with additional needs, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) where necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a 2:2 bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and on an individual basis.
