Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Primary School Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers and help create a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to assist with lesson delivery, classroom management, and one-on-one support for students who need additional help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and provide targeted support.
  • Help with classroom preparation, including organising materials and setting up activities.
  • Assist with behaviour management, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) where necessary.
  • Engage with parents and carers, promoting student success and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (experience in a primary school setting is highly desirable).
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
  • Basic understanding of child safeguarding and welfare (training provided).
