We're looking for a warm and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our 'outstanding' team at Lea Forest Primary Academy. The role will predominantly be based in KS2 (Year 5) and will typically consist of a mixture of Maths and English class support during the morning lessons and some tailored intervention work during the afternoons. Your contribution will ensure smooth delivery of; an excellent education to every child, in every classroom, every day.
This position is a maternity cover role, so it's initially a fixed-term opportunity. We're excited about the potential for it to grow into something longer term, but we can't make any promises just yet. We're looking forward to welcoming someone who's as enthusiastic about the role as we are!
You're someone who'll be able to:
- Engage and enthuse students.
- Support students so that they can; access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
You're someone who has:
- A Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assisting.
- Understanding of a range of pupil's learning needs, including SEN needs.
- The skills to help students to develop independent learning skills.
- Ability to deliver individual and small group targeted interventions.
