The Experience Required:
- At least 5 years of relevant procurement or buying experience
- Experience of food and ingredients procurement
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Commercially savvy and data driven, but also able to make a human connection with internal teams and suppliers
- Confident and articulate negotiator with proven results
- Excellent communication skills
- Determination to achieve set goals
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and build relationships at all levels
- Able to work with little or no supervision and make own decisions methodically
- Able to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines
- Care deeply about sustainability and building it into every aspect of procurement
The Role/Responsibilities:
- Category management across various food and non-food categories
- Working with relevant internal and external stakeholders to help achieve overall budget targets through successful negotiations, product and supplier reviews, and new product sourcing.
- Liaising with relevant teams to ensure ingredients and products meet high standards and are commercially viable.
- Sourcing products that align with the company values, which include sustainability and kindness and welfare.
