With a focus on innovation and excellence, we are committed to maintaining and enhancing our reputation in the industry through continuous improvement and a strong commitment to quality.The Quality Engineer will support the Quality Manager in ensuring that the Quality Department meets both business objectives and customer requirements. The role will focus on overseeing the APQP and PPAP processes for new or modified products and processes and maintaining quality standards across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:" Address supplier quality issues and maintain accurate records of concerns." Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address internal quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and assist in reviewing preventative measures where necessary." Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, implementing corrective and preventative actions in collaboration with manufacturing teams." Ensure Corrective Action Reports (CARs) related to quality issues are raised and completed within agreed timelines." Support the Quality Department and other staff with calibration and product-specific gauge studies (MSA)." Manage and oversee APQP processes and lead the PPAP process (FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, PSW, PPAP, IMDS, CSR, etc.) in coordination with sales and manufacturing teams." Lead the APQP process for new product introductions in line with quality system requirements." Assist in product revalidation and layout inspections." Maintain control over technical drawings and registers." Develop and update key process documents, including FMEAs, Control Plans, and Route Cards." Provide day-to-day support to the Quality Department and manufacturing/production teams, including assisting with 1st Off/Patrol/Last Off inspections and providing coverage when needed." Program and operate CMM using PC-DMIS." Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards." Provide coaching and guidance to Quality Department staff." Promote high levels of housekeeping in the Quality Department and support a clean, organised work environment across the company." Foster a culture of quality throughout the organisation." Perform any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.Requirements:" Proven experience in quality engineering or a related role." Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and quality management systems." Proficiency in CMM programming and operation (PC-DMIS experience preferred)." Experience with internal auditing and knowledge of quality standards." Excellent problem-solving and communication skills."
