This role is responsible for managing the timely delivery of critical parts in a manufacturing facility, ensuring that all necessary parts for production are provided in alignment with the end client’s requirements. The position involves acting as the key liaison between suppliers and the manufacturing teams of the end client, as well as coordinating with internal departments to ensure the effective and efficient management of expedited critical parts.

This role is working onsite at the supplier(s) – you will be the key interface of communication, and your role will include:

  • Communicating with the end client via a daily review call between the supplier and end client to determine critical parts requirements
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust part expediting process to ensure on-time delivery of critical parts
  • Monitor and manage the expediting process daily to ensure delivery deadlines are met
  • Working closely with manufacturing managers to understand production schedules and prioritise expedited parts within the production flow
  • Partner and collaborate with supply chain departments and operational leadership teams to track parts availability, lead times, and shipping logistics to ensure they are integrated smoothly into the production workflow
  • Work with suppliers, internal teams, and operational leadership to identify and solve potential delays or risks by implementing corrective actions to prevent further delivery failures and improve the overall expediting process
  • Must be able to work onsite at the suppliers
  • Must have experience in project/programme management of expediting critical parts within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Experience working under pressure and delivering clear and concise action plans
