My client, a well renowned civil engineering contractor are currently looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing business in the UK with excellent opportunity for career progression.
Duties:
- Lead the project team to ensure that contracts are completed on schedule, budget and in compliance with the company health and safety legislation.
- Support the surveying team in the management & control of contract costs & variations with regular reporting of cost projections & status to the Project Director / Contracts Manager.
- Develop strong client relationships
- Manage & assess subcontractor’s quality of work & their ability to maintain the scope of the programme.
- Liaise with design teams to ensure design deliverables are on target.
- Maintain an excellent relationship with the management team, subcontractors, and clients.
- Planning/scheduling of works.
Skills/Experience:
- 3rd level degree in Construction related field
- 7 years previous experience (minimum 2 in a PM role)
- Previous experience with a recognised contractor
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental systems
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management & organisational skills
- Previous experience delivering large scale civil engineering projects (RC, earthworks, heavy civils)
