Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of diverse projects within the renewable energy sector. The role will involve managing projects focused on 11kV to 132kV infrastructure, including solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and associated electrical works.

You will be responsible for leading and delivering projects within the renewable energy sector, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The role will also involve managing cross-functional teams, from office-based professionals to site-based specialists, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for electrical infrastructure projects, including 11kV to 132kV systems.
  • Oversee and manage project teams, both office-based and site-based, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and control project progress to ensure delivery within the agreed timeframe, cost, and scope.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Implement and refine project management processes to continuously improve project efficiency and delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, taking appropriate actions to avoid delays and budget overruns.
  • Maintain regular reporting on project progress, budgets, and any issues to senior management.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing electrical infrastructure projects, specifically in the 11kV to 132kV range.
  • Solid background in the renewable energy sector, ideally with experience in solar, battery storage, or related technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing both office and site-based teams.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deal with competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with ICP (Independent Connection Provider) projects is highly desirable.
  • Relevant project management qualifications (e.g., Prince2, APM, or equivalent).
