Project Manager - Substructure & Structures (HS2)

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the coordination and management of substructure and structure works, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and sustainability standards throughout the project lifecycle.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide progress reports on substructure works, including actual costs, forecasts, and resolving any issues.
  • Coordinate with construction, design, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure subcontracts are awarded and work starts on schedule.
  • Create a high-performing team with clear SMART targets and oversee performance management.
  • Promote a collaborative environment across teams, stakeholders, and the supply chain.
  • Ensure works are completed according to HS2 standards, emphasizing defect-free delivery and continuous improvement.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering (HNC/HND with significant experience considered).
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., Chartered Civil Engineer).
  • Significant experience with complex RC structures and transport infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and with high safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and experience in project controls and budget management.


Skills:

  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of construction health, safety, and welfare regulations.
  • Experience managing interfaces with other contractors and projects.
