Senior Project Manager Birmingham HS2

Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for an individual to cover and manage the overall leadership and delivery of large-scale projects.
The ideal candidate for this role would have a strong focus on Civils and Earthworks, with Civil Engineering. The role requires a strategic approach involving budget control, risk management and delivering high quality projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple large-scale earthworks and heavy civil projects, ensuring timely, high-quality, and budget-compliant completion.
  • Manage project risks, oversee planning, execution, and closing activities, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability, and optimizing cross-functional coordination.
  • Act as the primary client contact, handling communication, stakeholder management, contract negotiations, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee project budgets, financial tracking, cost control, and approval of contracts and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, drive continuous improvement, and maintain rigorous quality control throughout project delivery.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (desirable).
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management within the construction industry, with a focus on earthwork and heavy civil projects.
  • Strong understanding of earthworks, grading, excavation, soil stabilization, drainage, and heavy civil engineering principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards (OSHA).
  • Experience implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with local and national construction standards.
