GMP Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Auction Valuer to join a well-known and highly reputable Birmingham based company, on a full time, permanent contract. Our client is a highly recognisable and multi-disciplined property business specialising in property Auctions and property Agency.

The salary on offer for this position is up to £35,000 per annum, dependant on experience. This is a full time, permanent position working 5 days a week in office, working 9am till 5pm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Auction Valuer, Sales Negotiator, Estate Agent, or Lister looking for an exciting challenge within a successful auction business. You must be able to work confidently on your own with good time keeping and diary management as well as working with the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day responsibilities.

We are looking for somebody to grow and evolve within the company bringing a strong client base, have great networking skills and be open to learning the whole auction process from initial enquiries to negotiation and valuing.

A full clean UK Driving Licence and your own car is essential.

Auction Valuer main duties:

  • Undertake property valuations (collating comparable evidence through online marketing resources and previous sales)
  • Regularly liaise with clients, keeping them informed of interest throughout the
  • whole auction process giving viewing figures, legal pack downloads and setting their reserve price
  • Take good quality internal and exterior photographs of properties
  • Build a strong client base that is self-lead, regularly attending networking events etc.
  • Deal with incoming leads and converting them into auction sales
  • Carry out a high volume of block viewings
  • Carry out viewings by appointment (sometimes meeting clients/tenants on site)
  • Helping to answer telephone calls and emails when based in the office
  • Keep on top of chasing possible lots
  • Understand and implement AML policies and procedures
  • Helping the admin team to check and approve remote bidding applications
  • Undertake filming with Homes Under the Hammer and our client
  • Attend auction events throughout the year - which may include additional hours on auction days, auction weeks and deadline weeks

Auction Valuer desired skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of valuing/selling property
  • An understanding of the auction process
  • Able to generate new business, regularly hitting targets
  • Good diary management and self-motivation skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • Great customer service
  • Have good IT and technical ability
  • A full clean UK Driving Licence
