About the Role:
Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Coleshill. The successful candidate will work with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour, helping to create a positive learning environment that promotes engagement and emotional well-being. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on students' academic and personal development by providing tailored support to help them thrive in school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviour, helping them develop positive coping strategies.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to identify students' needs and create individual behaviour support plans.
• Support students in developing self-regulation and social skills to improve classroom behaviour and school interactions.
• Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting achievable goals.
• Implement strategies to support students both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring they feel supported and engaged.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for students who may be at risk of exclusion or disengagement from education.
• Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistency and support in addressing behavioural challenges.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with students in a similar behaviour mentor role, particularly within a secondary school setting.
• A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
• Experience with behaviour management strategies and supporting students with additional learning needs (SEN).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to promoting positive student outcomes and well-being.
• A relevant qualification in education or psychology would be desirable but not essential.
