Are you a dedicated Clinical Psychologist with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a well-established ASD school in Bourneville, South Birmingham, starting in April 2025.
Aspire People are currently recruiting for a skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to work in a ASD school. The role is to provide high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and support for students with a range of needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct psychological assessments for students with ASD, identifying their individual needs.
* Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support students' emotional and behavioral well-being.
* Provide one-on-one and group therapy as appropriate.
* Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create tailored strategies and support plans.
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and reviews to ensure the holistic development of each child.
* Offer guidance and support to staff on psychological matters related to ASD.
Requirements:
* Hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Has completed or is willing to complete safeguarding training
* HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration.
* Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ideally within an educational setting.
* Strong assessment and intervention skills.
* A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children.
* Excellent communication and team-working abilities.
