BASED AT KINGS NORTON or GREAT BARR IN EDUCATIONAL/COMMUNITY SETTINGS

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 09:00am-17:00pm or 8.30am - 16.30pm
  • £2k INDIVIDUAL TRAINING ALLOWANCE for CPD
  • FULL UK LICENSE & OWN VEHICLE REQUIRED
  • Must have experience in Learning Disabilities and moderate to severe complex needs with 18-25 year olds and 25 upwards – adults

Our client is a leader in their field and are now looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join their in-house Clinical Team. You will contribute to bespoke assessment and intervention plans for the adults they support. This is a wide and varied role ideal for those looking for a new challenge where you can truly have an impact on shaping services and driving change.

Role Overview

You will be joining a new clinical team to facilitate MDT working, consisting of Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. The clinical team is embedded into the structure of the provision which enables positive and effective multi-disciplinary working across the education services, in order to maximise clinical outcomes for adults.

You will be working within the overall framework of the service policies and procedures and within existing MDT and Clinical Governance structures to support the services in future development and ensuring quality assurance.

Essential Criteria:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level qualification in Psychology (clinical, counselling, forensic).
  • Registered with the HCPC and BPS.
  • Experience in supervising Assistant Psychologists
  • Previous experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of key partners
  • Able to work sensitively with people and resolve conflict effectively
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults and children.
  • Experience of lecturing/teaching/training
  • Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work.
