About the role:

A specialist provider of mental health services is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Clinical

Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team. This role offers an opportunity to work across inpatient

settings, providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy while contributing to the

psychological care of service users.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions for service users.
  • Develop and implement psychological treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Offer expert psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Undertake risk assessments and contribute to team-based risk management planning.
  • Lead reflective practice sessions and support the development of action plans with the care team.
  • Work within a shared assessment, formulation, and education model to support service users' recovery.
  • Contribute to service development through audits, policy updates, and research initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering psychological interventions in an inpatient setting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to support multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to assess risk and implement risk management strategies effectively.
