- Provide high-quality therapeutic care and support to young people.
- Act as a positive role model, encouraging positive behaviour and personal development.
- Establish and maintain appropriate routines, boundaries, and expectations.
- Support the educational development and achievements of the young people in care.
- Act as a Key Worker, contributing to individual care plans and attending child care reviews.
- Participate in social, recreational, and educational activities, encouraging young people’s engagement.
- Collaborate with parents, partner agencies, and professionals to promote the well-being of young people.
- Ensure all record-keeping is completed to a high standard and within required timeframes.
- Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and annual holidays.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child care.
- Experience working with children or young people in a residential or therapeutic setting (preferred but not essential).
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to work as part of a team while using initiative to respond to challenges.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and overnight stays.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
