Pay Rate: Base 32.50ph

Hours: Guaranteed 50 hours per week , 5 days

Overtime: 35.00 (T1.3x) paid after 38hrs per week

Start Date: 06/01/25

Duration: 11 months

Summary of Project

The project requires comprehensive health, safety, and environmental oversight to support the safe installation and commissioning of critical infrastructure. As the HSE Advisor, you will lead the implementation and monitoring of all HSE measures, guiding the project team on regulatory compliance.

Person Specification

You are an experienced HSE professional with over five years in UK site environments, holding a NEBOSH Certificate or higher qualification. You have a strong understanding of UK regulations and experience applying them on construction or industrial projects. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you are proactive in providing guidance on HSE matters, conducting training, and engaging the team in safety practices.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the implementation of the health, safety, and environmental management system for the project.
  • Coordinate HSE matters with the project team and liaise with other project locations.
  • Monitor the project's Health, Safety, and Environmental Plan, working closely with the Site Manager.
  • Provide on-the-ground HSE support to hands-on staff as needed.
  • Support with the implementation of key safety processes and rules at the site, including follow-up training.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings to engage staff on relevant HSE topics.
  • Prepare and deliver regular Health and Safety reports to the Site Manager.
  • Issue Health and Safety Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) on-site to both internal teams and subcontractors if necessary.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Certificate or higher HSE qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HSE advisory experience in the UK.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams.
  • Ability to lead HSE training, meetings, and site inspections effectively.
  • Suitable health and safety training, e.g., CSCS or similar, is required for all staff.
