Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Birmingham to recruit a Category Manager. The role offers hybrid working and covers the Asset Management/FM/Construction categories.

The Role:

  • Lead on procurement projects to deliver value for money
  • Provide contract support and strong supplier relationship management to ensure commercial objectives are hit
  • Implement controls for high value, high risk contracts
  • Advise stakeholders on the full procurement life cycle
  • Develop new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with updated legislation
  • Support departments throughout whole contract life
  • Identify areas for improvement and value-added opportunities

The Person:

  • Track record of procurement delivery at a high level
  • Contract and supplier relationship management experience
  • Experience of developing category strategies
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Public Sector procurement experience
  • MCIPS or equivalent level of relevant experience
