Your new companyA leading Financial Services organisation with a network of offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for an IT Category Manager to join the procurement team. The role is based in Birmingham and offers flexibility for hybrid working. The position is a fixed-term contract for 9 to 12 months. Your new roleThe IT Category Manager will partner with the IT & Digital teams and will be responsible for the development and implementation of the procurement strategy. The role will deliver category management strategies to drive efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The IT Category Manager will manage suppliers to develop collaborative relationships, drive performance, ensure compliance with all company and legal requirements, and mitigate business risk. The post holder will lead related procurement activities, manage tender programmes, and negotiate and implement contracts. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful, it is essential that you are a senior level IT Category Manager with exposure to software, SaaS, digital and cloud mitigation-based IT procurement processes and initiatives. You will have developed and delivered IT category management strategies within a large and complex organisation. Previous experience with the Financial Services or related sector is essential.
