Quality Technician - The Role

To ensure the works are carried out in compliance with the specification, design and other quality standards.

To ensure the project quality objectives and targets are achieved. To assist in the creation of a project assurance case and certification data book, O & M Manuals and Health & Safety files.

Key Responsibilities;

Implementation of company policies and procedures.
To assist with the preparation and upkeep of Local HSEQ documentation including management plans, project procedures and process flowcharts applicable to the project(s).
Maintenance of performance data, registers and dashboards linked.
Monitor quality inspections and subsequent actions.
Assist with internal systems audits.
Assist engineering teams with maintaining records of Quality Control inspections to ensure records are available at project completion.
Sharing best practise across the project(s).
Assisting with Lessons Learned activities.
Support & contribute to our sustainability and social value goals.
Assist with and promote our mission of providing a safe and caring workplace
Any other duties as reasonably required.

Quality Technician - What we need from you

Key Skills & Attributes;

Willingly takes on challenging tasks with confidence.
Accurate record keeping.
Written & verbal reporting skills.
Able to use Microsoft 365 and other web-based software effectively.
Able to communicate effectively with colleagues
Manage own diary to ensure timely attendance at key events and meetings.
A good level of mobility i.e. can independently move between various projects and offices.

Qualifications;

GSCE qualification in English and Maths
Preferably T-Level / A-Level / NVQ Level 3 standard, or equivalent level of qualification in a Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline.
CSCS card (achieved or willing to work towards).
May consider applications under an apprenticeship.

Knowledge & Experience;

Basic entry level understanding of construction.
Some experience, or a desire to begin a career within the Construction Industry.
