We are seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a solid background in the property/FM industry, specifically within the construction department, to join an established team in the Midlands.

Description

  • Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures.
  • Ensuring that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.
  • Advising on property taxes, regulations, and local laws.
  • Seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required standards and quality.
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
  • Communicating effectively with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitoring changes in design, construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
  • Procuring and managing subcontractors and materials.

Profile

A successful 'QS' should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field.
  • Sound knowledge of construction.
  • Excellent numeracy and financial management skills.
  • Understanding of the property market and its regulations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently.
