We are seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a solid background in the property/FM industry, specifically within the construction department, to join an established team in the Midlands.

The hiring company is a Tier-1 contractor based in the UK and Ireland, with significant influence in the property industry. They are well-established in their field and are recognised for delivering quality services across the construction and property sector.
Description
- Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures.
- Ensuring that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.
- Advising on property taxes, regulations, and local laws.
- Seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required standards and quality.
- Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
- Communicating effectively with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring changes in design, construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
- Procuring and managing subcontractors and materials.
Profile
A successful 'QS' should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field.
- Sound knowledge of construction.
- Excellent numeracy and financial management skills.
- Understanding of the property market and its regulations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently.
Job Offer
