A renowned construction and property consultancy, known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence, is seeking to expand its dynamic Birmingham-based team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join the firm, work directly with clients, and make a significant impact.

The Associate Quantity Surveyor Role

The appointed Associate Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing a wide range of projects such as residential, commercial office, education, hotel, leisure, and retail schemes, and will be a key support to a partner in the firm. With three days in the office in Birmingham and a hybrid work schedule the remainder of the week, the new Associate Quantity Surveyor will oversee projects in a client-facing role while being assisted by a group of junior surveyors. This position offers great potential for long-term growth, business expansion, and networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a variety of projects
  • Providing expert advice and support to clients
  • Mentoring and developing junior surveyors
  • Engaging in business development and networking opportunities

The Associate Quantity Surveyor

The new Associate Quantity Surveyor will be committed to making a difference in a vibrant, expanding consultancy. Someone who wants to be a team leader and be essential to the growth of the Quantity Surveying team and the work in the area. You'll additionally possess:

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a UK Construction Consultancy
  • A successful track record delivering projects from inception to completion
  • Strong pre and post contract experience
  • A RICS accredited degree qualification
  • MRICS ideally or currently working towards
  • The desire to get involved in line management and business development
