We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and commercialprojects, from initial calculations to final figures. The role requires a thorough understanding of commercial management, contract law, and cost management to ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates as well as contract documents, including bills of quantities.

  • Perform risk, value management, and cost control.

  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.

  • Negotiate contracts and work schedules with subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Measure and value the work done on site.

  • Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, including ensuring that variations and change orders are agreed upon.

  • Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to management.

  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure effective management of the project's budget.

  • Provide advice on procurement strategy and dispute resolution.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a commercial setting.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.

  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and numerical skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of contract law and standard forms of contract.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
