Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic fit-out team, specializing in commercial, retail, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will ideally come from a drylining and partitioning background, with a strong understanding of the fit-out process.

Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

• Prepare cost estimates and procurement schedules for fit-out projects, with a focus on drylining and partition systems.
• Manage budgets and monitor project expenditures to ensure cost control from inception to completion.
• Conduct valuations and assessments of project progress, ensuring financial accuracy at each stage.
• Assist in procurement and subcontractor management, negotiating contracts, and managing variations.
• Collaborate closely with the commercial and project teams to ensure that all financial and contractual obligations are met.
• Use Chalkstring software for takeoffs, estimating, and cost management, ensuring streamlined and efficient project delivery.
• Analyze and report on project costs, identifying areas for cost-saving through value engineering.

Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the fit-out sector.
• Strong background in drylining, partitions, and other specialist interior systems.
• Knowledge and experience in using Chalkstring software for estimating and project management are highly desirable.
• Process-driven with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and subcontractors effectively.
• Ambitious and proactive, with a desire to drive projects forward and achieve cost-effective solutions.
