Senior Quantity Surveyor
The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a civils contractor that are actively in a position of increasing their headcount within their commercial team and seeking a Quantity Surveyor or a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Type of Role: Permanent
Salary: 35,000 - 75,000 (depending on experience) + Car Options
Responsibilities:
- Regular site visits and liaising with the production team.
- Preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assisting with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering.
- Analysing rates & prices and agreement of variations and / or compensation events as required.
- Identification and analysis of potential debt risks and negotiating financial reconciliation with third parties to provide reasonable solutions.
- Forecasting monthly and annual profit figures ensuring figures are maintained throughout the lifetime of the project.
- Ensuring that any safety concerns are addressed immediately with the support of the safety team and Directors as appropriate.
- Building strong working relationships with clients including social networking.
- Allocating work to sub-contractors including assistance with procurement when required.
Requirements:
- GCSE Minimum 7 A-C / 5-9 including math's and English.
- Minimum 3 A-Levels at Grade B and above or equivalent BTEC.
- HNC Level 4 Qualification in Construction/Building or equivalent.
- Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor across the civil engineering, infrastructure or groundworks sector.
